Stroke support service

COVID-19 service update: reviews will take place via telephone. Face-to-face appointments are available for priority need.

We provide support, education and advice for people across Dorset who have suffered a stroke, as well as for their families and carers.

Our stroke service aims to help people adjust to the life changes associated with a stroke and regain their independence wherever possible.

We offer all patients a six-month stroke review following discharge from hospital, either at a clinic, at home or on the telephone. If you, or your loved one, require support before the six-month review, please contact us. You can also ask your GP or other healthcare professional to refer you to our service.
