Our Community Alcohol and Drug Addictions Service (CADAS) provides support and treatment for people facing problems due to use of alcohol and other substances.
Our team of experienced, specially-trained staff can put people on the road to recovery through a range of evidence-based treatments, including detoxification, substitute prescribing and harm reduction advice
We also offer specialist psychological therapy for people with complex problems who are struggling to move forward in their recovery.
If you are struggling with a dependency on alcohol, illegal drugs or other substances, you can access this service by contacting your GP. CADAS has two teams, covering east and west Dorset, and will carry out a detailed assessment of your needs before agreeing a course of action.
If you are already using health or social care services, you can also speak to your care co-ordinator about this to be referred. The service is completely confidential.
If you are a relative or carer of someone with addiction problems, you can access support at locations around Dorset through the EDP Drug & Alcohol Services charity.
